Since the founding of our country, the American people have had to fight for the freedom in every generation. NATIVE LAND is a document of America's struggle for liberty in recent years. It was in this struggle that the fascist-minded on our own soil were forced to retreat and the people gained the democratic strength essential for national unity and for victory of the Axis.
NATIVE LAND opens with a powerful montage of stunningly beautiful images that capture the essence of the American Dream in the 1940s. The uplifting music of Marc Blitzstein accompanies the inspirational narration by Paul Robeson. His sonorous voice relays idealism and promise put forth by the founding fathers: "We the People..."
